Volunteer Positions
   Computer Maintenance Specialist
    Time commitment:  Hours are somewhat flexible and number needed to perform required tasks will need to be determined by this volunteer
  • Will ensure that all maintenance (virus protection, updates, etc) are performed on all KDC computers to keep them in top operating condition.
  • Troubleshoot problems including those with specific programs, networks and software
  • Provide computer compliance training for KDC staff
  • Exceptional technical skills required
  • Reports to: Operations Manager

    Tutor
  • Time commitment: 4-8 hours per month
  • Track Student



   Training Host
    Time commitment:   2-4 hours at an event up to 10 times per year
  • Be present at all KDC trainings and assist trainers with room set-up, arranging refreshments, making coffee, keep food areas clean and well-stocked
  • Welcoming guests and provide information about restrooms, facility



  • CONCESSION STAND WORKERS FOR VENUES
​     Time commitment: 6-8 hours per day depending on events scheduled multiple times a year (can lead into part-time or full-time work)
  •   Customer Service
    Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
    Take and process food and drink orders
    Answer questions about menu items



     Sales & Cash Handling
    Operate cash registers, point-of-sale (POS) systems, or mobile payment devices
    Accurately take payments (cash, credit/debit cards, vouchers)
    Give correct change and issue receipts
     
     Food & Beverage Preparation
    Prepare simple food items like popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, or pretzels
    Pour and serve drinks (soft drinks, bottled beverages, sometimes beer or wine)
    Refill condiments and maintain clean prep areas

     
     Cleaning & Sanitation
    Clean equipment and counters
              Follow food safety and hygiene protocols  
    Dispose of trash and maintain a tidy, organized stand
    Restock items as needed (cups, napkins, utensils, snacks)

     
     Inventory & Stock
    Unpack and organize incoming inventory
    Assist in restocking after events



    • Publications Manager/Social Media Manager 

  • Time commitment: this will require 2-5 hours weekly
  • Oversee various printing of various publications as needed.
  • Requesting staff and be given specific examples and deadlines for production of materials
  • Copy flyers from an original on our copier, cut them apart using a paper cutter, and organize them into packets for distribution                                                       , Print, collate according to provided example, binding if needed, overseeing printing materials
